A Broken Heart

A broken heart never totally heals, and it will always have scars from its secret wars. A broken heart doesn't love easily, it hides internally, building walls to hide its deepest desires.
A broken heart reminds itself of past regrets and protects itself from future pain, it doesn't know how to put back the pieces or be a whole heart again. It can be weak and scared, feeling shattered and incomplete.
There is only one thing that can heal a broken heart, not found in short lived pleasures, but found in true love. A broken heart can find hope again, it can be put back together with new pieces found in God's true love.
God  sees our broken hearts, he has felt our hurt and he knows the trails we have been through,  and the pain we re-live. God is the only true love for a broken heart, he is unfading, he is enduring, and he is forever. God will not leave you, nor fail you.  Just turn to him and spend time with him and you will find hope, peace and glue for your broken heart.

What If?

What if I told you this wasn't the end? What if I told you things are only about to begin?
What if the beginning are what scare us the most? maybe the end is where we secretly place our hope.
What if the ending is where we hold our deepest desires, not to be here but to be with the one we most admire.
Maybe the "what if's" are the real problem, as they consume our thoughts, leading us to fear the beginnings rather then the endings.

Fishers of Men

Imagine sitting in your little fishing boat heading out for another long day of work.  A day filled with many hours of tossing a net into open water and hoping to pull out some fresh fish.  This isn't considered to be one of the highly educated or important jobs and yet your hoping to catch something. It doesn't bother you to get your hands dirty but part of you wishes you could have been good enough for something more.  That your mind would have been quicker and stronger. As your sitting there with your net empty and floating on the surface of the water, you see through the corner of your eye a man but not a normal man.  A man well educated and confident with pure eyes and a clean heart. Someone you look up to, someone you wish you could have been or will be. This man looks you, a small fisherman, in the eyes and says "come and follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." without much thought you drop everything to follow this man. A man who saw you for you and not for your clothes or job title.  He was offering you a job, an important job, a job to be a fisher of men. to be something you only thought a well educated and smart man could be. but this holy and humble man saw your potential and your heart.
